Mr. Shea is a principal and head of the Business and Finance Department and a member of the Real Estate Department. He is a graduate of Yale University (B.A. 1979), the University of Connecticut (M.B.A. 1982, J.D. 1982), and Boston University (L.L.M., Taxation, 1985). Mr. Shea's areas of expertise include corporations and other business organizations law, commercial finance, and commercial real estate law.Mr. Shea serves as general counsel to a number of corporations and other business organizations. He has extensive experience in counseling clients with respect to capital structuring and financing, joint venture relationships, and security offerings. Mr. Shea also has considerable experience in representing clients in connection with the negotiations and structuring of the sale and purchase of business enterprises, including those aspects of the transaction affected by bankruptcy filings or threatened bankruptcy filings, and the negotiation of a wide range of other complex contractual matters.
