Mr. Mulpeter is a principal and member of the Business and Finance Department. He is a graduate of Union College (B.A., cum laude, 1980) and of the University of Connecticut School of Law (J.D., with honors, 1983), where he was a member and editor of The Connecticut Law Review. Mr. Mulpeter has extensive experience in the areas of corporate finance, securities, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions and other commercial matters. Mr. Mulpeter acts as general counsel to a number of corporations and other business organizations participating in a diverse range of industries (including consumer products, computer software and other technology-based products, communications, insurance, investment banking and other financial services). His practice includes representing clients with respect to partnership matters, joint ventures, licensing and other technology-related matters. In recent years, Mr. Mulpeter has been particularly involved in the representation of broadcast communication businesses in acquisition and sale transactions, other transactional matters and general corporate matters.
