Ms. Bartholic is a principal and member of the firm's Litigation Department. She is a graduate of Elms College (B.A. 1984) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D. 1993). She is admitted to practice law in both state and federal courts in Connecticut and Ohio and federal courts in New York. Ms. Bartholic's practice extends to all phases of civil litigation on behalf of businesses, individuals and municipalities in state trial and appellate court, federal court and private arbitration proceedings.Ms. Bartholic's practice includes general business, complex litigation and insurance defense involving errors and omissions claims. Ms. Bartholic's experience includes the representation of both employers and employees in matters before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and state and federal court including cases involving employment discrimination, fraudulent hiring and wrongful termination. She counsels clients regarding employment policies and practices and has made sexual harassment training presentations to the firm's corporate clients. Ms. Bartholic's practice also includes land use law, representing municipal and individual clients in cases involving zoning and wetlands regulations and the status of public and private roads. Ms. Bartholic has lectured in the area of Road and Access Law in Connecticut. Ms. Bartholic is a Member of the Connecticut Bar Association Committee on Professional Ethics and the Children and the Law Committee. Ms. Bartholic has also represented children in juvenile court proceedings on a pro bono basis since 1997. She is a current member of the Board of Directors for the Village for Families & Children in Hartford, Connecticut.
