Mr. Pelham is a principal in the Real Estate Department. He is a graduate of Lafayette College (B.S., Chemical Engineering, 1986), University of New Haven (M.S., Environmental Engineering, 1993) and Quinnipiac College School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 1998) where he was an associate editor of the Law Review. Since 1992, Mr. Pelham has been a licensed professional engineer in the State of Connecticut. Mr. Pelham was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1998.Mr. Pelham has over ten years of permitting, regulatory and facilities engineering experience in consulting and industry. Mr. Pelham's primary practice area is environmental law, but he also practices in the areas of land use, commercial real estate, lender representation and real estate leasing. His environmental practice includes advising clients regarding the operation of the Connecticut Transfer Act, the issues surrounding acquisition and remediation of contaminated property, and interpretation and applicability of waste, water and air regulations to business operations. Mr. Pelham's experience (both as an engineer and an attorney) also includes interaction with Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection personnel in the waste, water and air bureaus, and with local and regional land use, wetlands and regulatory officials and commissions.
